SVN for translations
slaughter
Hi,
we created a project on SourceForge for all translations:
https://sourcefor...anslation/

SVN-Browser:
http://pif-transl...anslation/

SVN:
https://pif-trans...anslation/

This is very useful if more than 1 person is working on the Locale files of 1 language.

You want to create new translations for PiF or you want to update existing translations?

Send me a pm and I can add you to the SVN project.

Thanks

ZEVS
Better way is to have Core Translator on website like Contao ( fka TypoLight) is better and mor functionalitiy

Inline translators have some disadvantages.
Too much people can touch without the required knowledge, for example TypoLight, TomatoCart have the most worst translations ever, specially for Bulgarian, Serbian, Macedonian, half of the words are translated via machines such as Google Translate.

Second disadvantage, if u loose power during this inline translation u will loose whatever u write before.

On shared hostings, some times CMS looses the connection with MySQL - loosing the translated stuff.

Messing up the encryption. Some buggy browsers like MS Internet Exploder keep write as CP1251/ISO8859-1 no matter that the page declares and request UTF-8.

Offline translation is better, bcz you can always sync it with the main CVS/SVN repository. With this inline craps, I have to download it, to verify the charset of each file and to sync it.

Use Notepad Plus to solve your problem with translations.
